Terms & Conditions

Terms Overview

Last updated: 5 January 2026

These terms explain how Business Cardy works in a clear way - no jargon - just the essentials. By purchasing or using our services, you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, please email enquiries@businesscardy.com.

1. Who we are

Business Cardy is a trading name of Jimma Jamma LuLu Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”). We provide simple, professionally managed websites for small, service-based businesses.

2. Service overview

Business Cardy offers a fully managed, subscription-based website service. The service is designed to give you a clear, professional online presence without the complexity, cost, or decision-making burden of traditional web projects.

The service typically includes:

  • • Website design and build
  • • Hosting
  • • Ongoing maintenance
  • • Reasonable content updates
  • • Basic technical management (security, uptime, backups)

Business Cardy is intentionally simple and opinionated. It is not a bespoke web development service.

3. Eligibility and suitability

The service is intended for small, service-based businesses and straightforward marketing websites.

We reserve the right to decline work that is not a good fit for this model.

4. Ordering and payment

  • • All services are paid in advance via Stripe.
  • • Prices are displayed clearly at the point of purchase.
  • • Fees are annual and non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • • Subscriptions renew annually unless cancelled before renewal.

Stripe handles all payment processing. We do not store your card details.

5. What's included (and what isn't)

Included

  • • A website of reasonable size and complexity
  • • Pages appropriate for a small business website
  • • Blog posts and/or case studies added as part of ongoing updates
  • • Content supplied by you (text and images)
  • • Hosting and routine technical maintenance

Not included

  • • Bespoke web applications or custom software
  • • Complex integrations or workflows
  • • Guaranteed SEO rankings or performance
  • • Ongoing content creation on your behalf
  • • Marketing services beyond the website itself

Business Cardy does not offer complex or bespoke work. If a request falls outside the scope of the service, we'll explain this clearly and may suggest alternative providers.

6. Updates and change requests

How updates work.

  • • Update requests must be submitted by email
  • • Requests are handled in the order received
  • • Urgent issues (e.g. incorrect contact details, broken pages) are prioritised
  • • Non-urgent updates are typically completed within 10 working days

Updates may include:

  • • Changes to existing pages
  • • Adding or editing blog posts or case studies
  • • Small layout or content adjustments

The service is not intended for continuous, near-daily changes. As a guide, more than one update request per week would be considered high frequency, but this is perfectly acceptable provided requests remain reasonable in size and scope.

7. Pages and site size

The service is designed for small business websites and ongoing content growth.

There is no fixed limit on the total number of pages, and adding blog posts or case studies over time is fully supported and encouraged.

The key consideration is the scale of individual change requests, rather than the overall size of the website. Requests that amount to major restructures or large-scale redesigns fall outside the scope of the service.

8. Domains

Where a domain is included:

  • • The domain must be transferred to us for management
  • • Standard domains are included
  • • Premium domains are excluded

If a requested domain is unavailable or premium-priced, we'll suggest suitable alternatives.

At the end of the business relationship, we will facilitate transferring the domain away.

9. Content responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • • The accuracy of all information you provide
  • • Ensuring you have the right to use any text, images, or logos
  • • Ensuring your website complies with applicable laws and regulations

Images must be supplied by you, typically by email.

We reserve the right to refuse or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, or harmful.

10. Ownership, control, and access

  • • The website code, structure, and hosting environment are owned and controlled by Business Cardy
  • • You retain ownership of your business name, branding, and the factual content you provide
  • • Server-level or administrative access is not provided

Business Cardy operates as a managed service, not a website handover or build-and-leave arrangement.

11. Availability and support

We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

  • • Planned maintenance may occasionally cause brief downtime
  • • We are not responsible for outages caused by third-party providers beyond our control

Support is provided via email during normal UK working hours.

12. Cancellation and end of service

You may cancel your subscription at any time, but fees already paid are not refunded.

When a subscription ends:

  • • The website will be taken offline
  • • Hosting and ongoing management will cease
  • • You may copy and paste your content directly from the live website before the end of the subscription

We may retain backups for up to one month after cancellation, but there is no guarantee that backups will exist beyond the moment of cancellation.

13. Future service changes

We may enhance or extend the service over time (for example, by adding optional features such as mailing list sign-ups, booking tools, payments, or chat widgets).

Such enhancements do not create an obligation to provide bespoke functionality unless explicitly stated.

14. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for:

  • • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunity
  • • Issues caused by inaccurate information you provide
  • • Third-party services or integrations

We make no guarantees regarding search engine rankings or marketing performance.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months, except where the law does not allow this limitation.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these terms to reflect legal or operational changes. Updates take effect when published on our website. Significant changes will be communicated by email.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

17. Contact
